Product Description

The California Air Tools 20040DSMADC is a 4.0 HP SMART ultra-quiet and oil-free air compressor designed for professional applications requiring powerful airflow, low noise, and exceptionally dry compressed air. It combines a 20-gallon horizontal steel tank with an integrated 98% air drying system, automatic drain valve, and SMART remote monitoring and control.

Powered by twin 2.0 HP SP-9421-22060 motors operating at only 1,680 RPM, the compressor delivers 12.80 CFM at 40 PSI and 10.60 CFM at 90 PSI while producing only 75 dB of operating noise. The oil-free dual-piston pump is designed for a minimum 3,000 hours of operation before service.

The integrated 98% air drying system uses an aftercooler and replaceable spin-on cartridge containing regenerating high-temperature molecular sieve desiccant. It is designed to provide ISO 8573 Class 2.3.1 air quality. The EZ-1 automatic drain valve removes accumulated moisture according to an adjustable timer.

The included MDR2i OLED SMART Controller allows remote monitoring and control from mobile phones, tablets, notebooks, and computers. Users can program operating times, pressure settings, auto-drain settings, unloader relay delay, overcurrent limits, pressure units, and monitor total motor-pump running hours.

Maintenance

The oil-free dual-piston pump eliminates the need for compressor oil and reduces routine lubrication requirements. The 98% air dryer cartridge uses regenerating high-temperature molecular sieve desiccant and should be replaced approximately every 4,000 operating hours, or about every two years under average use.

The two 2 HP air filters attached to the motor-pump should be replaced every two years under normal conditions or annually when the compressor is exposed to dirty or dusty environments. Replacement air filter part number is 90260.

The EZ-1 automatic drain valve eliminates routine manual tank draining. The SMART controller allows the drain frequency and valve-opening duration to be programmed remotely.
